My Career Story - Change My 1st Job

Finally back to my blog again, it's been long time since last post. When you keep on engaging with your never end work load, It takes extra effort for you to continue keeping your blog update.

1st of March was the day I officially end my career with Public Bank after 2 and a half year service at Taman Maluri HP Centre. I had decided to resign although salary and bonus seems so attractive to outsider compare to my peers. Reason is, this job is only speciallize in hire purchase, and I keep on doing the same work, talking same things, facing same problems and frankly speaking, I did not feel any value added in myself since after one year in hire purchase centre when I had learned up almost everything inside there.

Furthermore, the workload keep on increasing month by month, since I am officer who dealing with post disbursement matters, you may imagine when marketing people bringing in 4-5 million business volume per month, and customer who fully settle the loan never catch up with the figure bringing in, and lots of things may still need to follow up even an account had been fully settled. Then it comes up with the challenge on how you going to handle such large accounts on hand and work on it till 10-11pm daily to clear up all the shit. Also imagine that, you keep on picking up non-stop phone calls, attend numerous walk in customers, tons of reports, paperworks, collaborate lots of things with different department from HQ, own branch and other branch and lots more to be mentioned but I am not going to elaborate more, just a statement in summary, the workload here is pressure like hell!

Hence, I take the courage to left my previous job so that I can have the opportunity to explore different field before I enter 30 years old, which it is way too challenge for someone to change career in such stage. Well, luckily is, after I had tender my resignation letter on early of January, a banking solution IT company namely Infopro Sdn Bhd had approached me via jobstreet for a position as banking consultant. 1st interview was scheduled on early of February, and interview conducted by the department head, and frankly I did not feel that I good enough in that interview, and I did not put much hope on it, and I attend that interview just like to find out what value in me as for now which had draw their attention.

Well, the head mentiond that they need to expand business in China, and my advantage in applying this position is merely on my mastering of Mandarin language and also some experience in banking. following that, the head had asked various question about banking knowledge, sadly, except hire purchase, I had no idea how to answer the other questions. And the interview ended up with they need around 2 weeks to reply my application status.

When it come to early of March, and no response yet from them and I also did not expect they will call me back again due to reason mentioned above. Suprisingly, they called me up on last Friday to attend 2nd interview on yesterday. When I reach there, I thought I will be interviewed by the head of department again, but when the secretary lead me untill front of a door, I stunned, beacause I saw 3 words carve on the door, which is "Chief Executive Officer", wow, honestly, I never meet up with any corporate leader before, therefore I felt so tension and pressure on that moment especially when the door opened up and I had stepped into it.

Well, after greeting each other, we sat down to start the interview session, the CEO had asked similar questions like the department head done before, and when he found out that my banking knowledge is so limited, he hesitate for a while which I can read it via his face expression. But when interview going on, he told me they will train me up starting from zero and expect me to catch up fast with extra effort, and he need time to think before he potentially offer me the position, and out of my expectation again, at final stage of interview, he suddenly asked my avaibility and requested me to report to work next week and printed out offer letter on the spot for me to read and sign, I just can't describe the feeling at the moment, happy? suprise? cannot response?

After reading the offer letter, I am satisfied with the terms, although some benefits may not as good as Public Bank, but overall, I think I earn because in Public Bank, you will feel that you actually no much different than a labour, only difference is higher salary and equiped with some knowledge. But for the Infopro, as per conversation between me and the CEO, aside from working, he expect everyone of us update our knowledge in this field frequently and training is the main focused of this company, and they do not encourage long working hours which reinstate by both the head of department and CEO as well.

I had decided the accept the offer and I hope that I can do well and of course a better future in this company, lets cheers~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometime when you meet with some stupid customer...

Its been a year in a representative local bank in my career life, though the working environment is tough, but I am able to cope it and enjoy the challenging environment sometime.

As an officer, it is my job to attend customer enquiries and help to solve their problems if any, of course, and it is common when sometime customer did not satisfy with the service offered, as we did not meet their expectation in their process due to some reasons i.e. legally, bank policies and else. But we just try to understand the customer situation and apologized on our incapability to work out the result they intended to.

I used to this situation untill yesterday when I dealed with a very very damn stupid customer. Ok, the story background is like this, the customer have a loan with bank, and loan agreement had signed in August, and the car also being driven since that day, but then the agreement copy for customer did not reach customer in weeks due to he is not always in the respondent address which he provided to us, since we had sent it out by registered courier service, the agreement will not leave at the address when the directed receiver is not there to sign and acknowledge for the courier.

And one month and days after he sign the agreement, he received a reminder letter from us stated that he had late for his first obligated installment. This stupid guy then try to call us, and I am the unlucky man that day to picked up the phone. In the phone conversation, when I understand the story, I ask him not to worry, as I will waive away all the late charges incurred in this case. Later on, he sent in an official email request to waive the late charges, but in additional, he also request us to defer his repayment schedule for one month for the reason he did not received agreement. The problem appeared when he requested to have the instalment payment schedule due date being deferred one month, it means that he will drive one month car with the bank loan for free of charge!!! Of course it is not feasible either logically and legally, and I called him back and told him that we uncapable to do this, after listen to this, this stupid fellow start to shown disatisfied tone and claimed that it is bank's fault for the case he did not received any document and notification on this instalment due date.

I am angry with his attitude and tone shown in his words regarding this, so I replied him in the same manner to insist that we will not work it that way he expected and bank definitely not to excuse in this case, and then this stupid fucker asked my name and the headquarter phone number and cut off the line.

Few hours later, a complaint letter lodged to headquarter sent to my email by HQ customer service department. Guess what, the complaint letter as long as an article (p/s: This sohai actually is a director of don't know what unknown small company, guess why he so free to write an stupid "article" during working hours just only to express his dissatisfaction???). I give the article to my manager to read, and he also laugh and said "nevermind la, since he insist want it to, now you try to send a request of defer payment to HQ see whether HQ approve or not, don't waste time argue with him la, although it is not our fault."

Ok, I did whatever manager instructed, and HQ approved the SOHAI request in this morning. and then I already no mood to inform and talk with this stupid fellow, so I asked the marketing officer who bring in this business to call him back regarding to this matter. FOLLOWING THIS IS THE MOST IRRITATING SCENE WHICH I EVER MET SINCE I WORK IN BANK, the SOHAI didn't even express a appreciation and simple thank you, instead he asked the marketing officer to leave me a message that he want an official letter from me (specified me) to inform him on this.

Walao, I MEMANG GERAM BETUL ON THIS BUKIMAK when I heard that, and I told the marketing officer that I will ignore his request, ask him go to hell la, if not satisfied go ahead and compaint again, BUKIMAK~~~!!! sometime I wonder this kind of people ah, we trying to tolarate but they still want to take advantage to step forward one, WHAT THE KIND OF FUCKING SPECIES IS THIS????? (p/s: this sohai only borrow loan for...........a Myvi only.........wonder like that also want to so LCLY ah~??? My other customer borrow loan for Porsche, Mercedes and else luxury car also didn't have that stupid attitude and mindset lo...WHO THE HELL YOU THINK YOU ARE OH...???)

But anyway thank you for this BUKIMAK la, finally I have some topic to write on my blog since N years ago, haiz...wish a better tomorrow for me and my readers la, goodnight~

Working Life in Hire Purchase Dept

So, 3 months came pass by. 3 months working life in KL...erm...there are lots of good and bad for me to comment.

On the day when I joined the department, I was shocked by the personnels involved in the department, which was 60 least, and I came understand at the following days that this is the reasonable amount of people should be here to handle the business volume. (The problem is it takes me around 1 month to know everyone there...)

I have been assigned as an officer to incharge credit admin matters, and I am the one to take full responsibility on settlement matters, and the fact is, I gonna entertaining phone calls and attend to appealing customers and dealers for the whole working hours, and finally I can only start my mountain paperworks after 6pm, and guess what? leaving the bank at 10pm something is just a common story among most of the staffs there, as well as working overtime every saturday and public holiday.

The above is not the tough one for me, the tough thing is the people I am working with and the politic working environment. At first, everything seems fine between my close colleagues, but after some time, it is apparently two gangs breaking up between credit admin team, which is gang grouped according to races, luckily the few chinese there didn't involve in such politic, which some time make me feel embarrasing to deal with each other.

Good thing here is, there are two clerks work under my supervision, which were very hardworking and fully committed to assist me, and I feel very lucky for this as most of the clerks there did not apply the similar attitude and they will leave the bank punctually after office off hour.

Well, there are lots more story to tell but I think I will reveal these far, so that I am able to give a full and detail exposure after my employment confirmation after another 3 months more~

Public Bank Interview

I have been gone through the Public Bank management trainee (position tittle in the interview confirmation email) interview this early Monday, which HR people called me for that interview session in end of July. At first, the HR personnel asked me whether I am willing to involve in outdoor sales in the phone conversation and I said: "Ya, I can try it~", only then I had been confirmed an interview later, hence I assumed that they will place me in the sales line position, and indeed I had stated position as trainee credit analyst in my application email.

During the interview, two ladies interviewers asked me what field which I intended to work in, and I straightly told them credit analyst work although I assumed they planned to place me in the sales line, and following that the interview conversation is all about the technical knowledge on 5C approach, financial statement understanding and problem solving skill in credit analysis process, which they didn't even touch much on sales matters.

Next, I have been asked about my varsity extra-curriculum activities and requested to elaborate on it as well. They also asked me the qualities that a credit analyst should possessed. And finally is some HR standard questions such as preference working location, got own transport or not and else, after that my interview session ended and they said will inform me within 2-3 weeks if I am shortlisted. Frankly speaking, I personally did not feel that I performed very good in the interview but indeed just ok only, and I expected the chance get shortlisted not that pretty high.

Well, to my superb surprise, they called me the next day to ask me if I am able to work in KL, I said yes. The following day, they said confirmed my employment status as graduate trainee in Taman Maluri Public Bank, one of their Cheras's branches, processing personal loan, i.e. hire purchase and mortgage loan and can start working next week if my medical checkup can pass through within this week. During the two days, my hand and leg just shivering uncontrollable, because things happen really out of my expectation~!!!

What I can say is, Public Bank HR is extremely efficient in my case. By the way, my medical check-up report had come out today, thus next week will be the starting of my banking career and a new milestone in my lifetime, cheerio~!!!

Two Diaries

Jul 30, 2010

Today is my last day in FMM Perak, after a 3 months working experience here, I did learn a lot from my superiors and colleagues, despite this is not my field of specialization. On top of that, I appreciate the relationship and rapport build between all of us; it is hardly any word to describe how I am enjoying the working environment here and appreciation of every careful guidance, tolerance and patient of my superiors and colleagues on me, though it is ironic that I am still going to leave the organization due to salary and future career prospect consideration.

And to my surprise, today my executive, Ms. Nicole Choe had personally spring me for a delicious meal, my assistant manager had also gifted me a branded ball pen, and yet I received a nice looking tie gifted by all FMM Perak staffs, wow~ haha. Furthermore, all colleagues had secretly planned a farewell party for me. Frankly speaking, I do have bad concern on the peanut allowance earlier, but today it is completely different things in my mind, it is so….I don’t know what to say already….haha…just feel so touch~^^

I would like to have my appreciation words to every staff in FMM Perak here:

Mr. Louis (Branch Manager)
Although he seems strict sometimes, but actually he is very concerning towards his subordinates, after all, sometimes it may appear that he is easy going and friendly people as well. He had given lots of useful and precious advices on my career development, especially interviewed techniques and career improvement skills which I will always keep in mind and benefit from those advices in life-long process.

Mr. Mahinder (Assistant Manager)
Also my industrial supervisor, he is cool, yeah, and though I do not have lots of interaction and conversation with him (since he is cool), but I know that he is a very nice person, and I did learn a lot from him as well. I would like to say thank you to him for everything and also, of course, the branded ball pen~haha~

Ms. Nicole Choe (Executive)
This is the only superior I have lots of interaction with, very talkative, friendly, and easy going young lady. She is the one which I had learned the most from her; personally felt that she treated me as though I am her younger brother style. Thank you for her caring, mentoring and motivating during my industrial training, and I never forget she was the one who always ask me to do lots of public speaking to introduce courses’ trainers and announcements to trainees. In the end, thank you for everything and of course, thank you for spending a lamb chop for me~hehe~

Ms. Jessie Yang (Executive)
Leng Nui (pretty) Executive, though did not have much interaction with her as well since we have completely unrelated job scope, but she is nice and did give some useful advice to me as well. And I will not forget her delicious cakes which she had spend earlier.

Kak Eda and Ms. Charlotte
The two secretariats in FMM which I had coordinated a lot of work with them together, nice and patient seniors, and help me solve a lot of problems during my internship period.

Kak Ita and Ms. Angeline
Another two secretariats which are less work coordination with me, despite that, they are also nice colleagues without doubt if I have to work with them.

The working experience in here shall me one of my precious memory in my lifetime, THANK YOU FMM~!!!

Internship Experience: FMM (Week 1)

I have undergoing my practical training at Federation of Malaysia Manufacturers (FMM) Perak branch. Commonly people will think that name of “federation” always belong to a society or similar else, but actually it is not, this organization may run their operation like a society, but it is an organization which registered their existence under commission of company (COC), not commission of society (COS), and of course, a profit oriented organization.

The main role of FMM is to be the advisor (mostly the representative of member manufacturers) of both local member manufacturers and government (both central and state), hence, there are lots of meetings carried out between the above parties to solve or discuss problems, which FMM become the middle man between them. Besides, FMM will organize lots of talks, seminars, forums and else for their member manufacturers and public as well, and the participants fees would be one of the main income sources aside from member fees and annual membership fees. Another important income source for FMM is generated from their subsidiary company, FMM Institute (FMMI), where FMMI main business activity is offering courses and trainings to both FMM members and non members, and my job scope is mostly assisting FMMI function and operation.

FMM income also contributed by form selling, e.g. certificate of origin (CO) form (FMM given the authority by MITI to issue certificate which proven that a manufacturer’s exported products was at least 70% locally value created).

This is what I heard from the assistant manager during the orientation in my first day of practical training. My job scopes during the internship period, mentioned by the assistant manager, are:
1) Assist in promotion of Branch events/seminars by way of telemarketing
2) Assist in administrative duties of the branch i.e. updating of records, filing, and preparation of letters
3) Assist in sourcing out new ideas for seminars/program via government agencies webpage and newspaper
4) Assist in updating/improving the branch’s website

During this first week, I had been doing proofreading, arranging and sort documents, data key in kind of boring routine stuff… but luckily this is not the only tasks I am doing. I had been asked by my senior to help out in seeking information regarding to Perak Amanjaya Development Plan through internet (I had only know this grand plan since then, never noticed it before though a Perakian), I had also attending two meetings, which one of them was the meeting between TNB Perak and member manufacturers, another was the 1st meeting of FMM ICT resources committee, which in both meetings I required to listen and record the whole minutes, thought it is easy? Nope, absolutely not, for there are lots of technical terms and jargons throughout the meetings, which make me difficult to understand what they are discussing…sigh…I told my seniors about this and they comfort me that this is what they experienced earlier too, and convince me that this is a very good experience to learn, and I self-identify with what they said.

Well, this is what I had experienced during my 1st week practical training, sharing more in coming post.

Interview Experience: OSK

Just watch Malaysia end their title dream in Thomas Cup, which defeated by China team, no sad feeling though bad news it is, as this is an expected result when you look at the facts and status.

Back to the point, this post is my last post on my interview experience for internship job seeking. Same as OE Design as for last post had mentioned, OSK internship application also applied on JobStreet as well. Actually this job is OSK investment bank graduate associate program, which the program aim on training new blood at their investment banking front office operation.

OSK HR call me up for an interview after 1 week from my application (which they mentioned it as "interview" in both phone conversation and email, and well actually it is not for the first time), well, on that time, I am so delighted after hearing their response though it is an interview only, which I willing to spend almost RM200 (preparing documents, transport and else...) just for this interview...

The first "interview" actually is an aptitude assessment, test or whatever, the test take place at OSK main branch located at KL Ampang road, and approximately 50-60 applicants present for the test. The 1st test is comprised by 5 parts, which are English language proficiency, quantitative ability, numbering order, organizing ability and also case handling (question somewhat like given you a scenario, and your decision making on it), and all of it conducted in multiple choice question form (and honestly speaking, it is quite easy answered...compared to another aptitude test from IBM which I did try earlier). Besides, there also few personality tests and have to application form following the aptitude test, and well, that's all for how the first "interview" going.

the HR people told us to wait for another call up for interview (this one is really an interview) if being shortlisted. And the following week I had been called up for that, wow, it is such a exciting moment when I received that phone call. Again, I spent a sum of money again for this interview without hesitation. The HR told me to attend the interview punctual at 9am, but on that day, as there are few more applicants attending the interview as well, unfortunately I had been kept for waiting 2 hours and have my interview only at 11am (what the...). The interview session is 2 stages process, one following another, and each time will have 3 interviewers facing me alone. well, after waiting 2 hours impatiently, I am tired and blur, and thus I had performed quite bad at the 1st stage, which I believed that I had the interviewers have an impression of lack confident in myself. After the 1st stage, I had awake and being warm up, and the following 2nd stage go smoothly and I am satisfy with my performance though not extraordinary.

Questions being asked throughout those interviews included request me to introduce myself, test my willingness to perform something so that see whether I am suit for their organization, and questions like "do you think you are a leader?", "what you like to see yourself in two years time?"...

After the interview, I did not received any notification from OSK, and I had expected that since the interviewers in 1st stage interview had told me to wait for their call (which implied I had little chance being shortlisted as this is the common HR people tactic). Till now, my OSK graduate associate program application status on JobStreet there had been stated as "kept for reference"...not unsuccessful, nor kept for future consideration...what is it mean huh...???

Well, I am temporary not feel like bother their action, as I am ongoing my practical training at my hometown there, which my application for that organization did not even require me to attend any interview plus RM300 allowance per month only...T.T, though this is the case, but it is a nice experience there after I have been working there, coming post I will share my experience on my practical training~

Interview Experience: OE Design

OE Design is a jewelery manufacturer which origin in Germany and set up their manufactory at Bayan Lepas of Penang island. I had applied their management trainee position via jobstreet since their job ad had encouraged finance student to apply for it.

2 weeks after the application, I had been called up for an interview. This is a pleasant interview process as the interviewer, name Ms. Khaw (sound like that...) is a very friendly lady. And throughout the hours, it is more like a conversation than an interview, she keep on asking and giving her view on my education, family, experience and else, the feeling just like a new friend eager to know more about you.

After half hour of interview (conversation), finally come to the main point, she pointed out that after refer to my resume and other information, she decided to let me handle online customer order, which the main responsibility is to inform and assure related department on the jewelery manufactured process run as customer desired (e.g how much gems, diamonds or golds to purchase, what is the design and else) and she explained and answered a lots on the job function to me as details as what I inquired.

Well, following conversation regarding on my job position learned me a lesson, which same mistake had occur in my next interview as well, which make me regret a lots. I had questioned the points which result to her consideration to let me handle the post, which I think that my stupid question had make her feel that I am not interest in the jobs bestowed to me and well actually I am not (at least is acceptable).

And the above question had end up the interview, which Ms. Khaw ask me to consider well and give her my confirmation in following week in friendly tone, where I did not even have any chance to ask further for the remuneration package and other potential benefits. And how can I consider the job post when the most important things, basic salary range~:P, undisclosed to me?

Additionally, this is a one year contract program, and I had considered other possible better job opportunities in near future, therefore, I reject OE Design in manners, and so, this is how my second interview tells.

Coming post will be on my 2 interviews in the same company~:)

Interview Experience: KWSP

It's been a month since my last post in this blog. which I am busy with internship stuff, assignments, and final exam.

I had spend almost 50% of my time on resume, cover letter, seeking company, browsing jobstreet (daily), preparing interviews...though it is trouble me a lot, but honestly speaking, those experience really benefit my career profile.

Since last post which I had stated regarding to the CIMB internship application, I had also sent my application to Public Mutual as well, but Public Mutual is dealing and respond on my application in very simple way, they just reject directly without passing here passing there, which I more prefer this kind of working style.

Since then, I lower down and loose my prefer job scope and start to sent my application elsewhere, private, government, public listed, and else. And result from this, I had sit for 4 interviews so far in one month's time, and now I had consider myself damn good in handling interview already~haha ~

Well, actually this post is my sharing on my interview experience. And my first interview is regard to KWSP permanent job application after my graduation, but not internship~:P, which KWSP had visit my campus on recruitment purpose. As time is limited and applicants are quite a number, thus the interview go along with 4 applicants each session with 2 interviewers.

The interview started by HR interviewer ask us to introduce our self (which the same thing goes to my another 3 interviews as well, therefore for my junior, remember to practice how to introduce yourself~haha). After that, interviewer look at our resume and ask us questions randomly regarding on information stated on our resume. Next, interviewers ask our understanding on "1 Malaysia" concept, lol~. and following question is our prefer KWSP division if we being hired. And finally, the interview ended with one decision making question, the case provided to us was generally like this, a train almost to arrive a railway fork, which right railway with 9 peoples ahead, and left side with 3 peoples ahead, and we have to decide which railway to pick though choose either one will sacrifice human life, and we have to clarify the reasons which contribute to our final decision.

And of course, interviewer will give us chance to ask questions before we leave. Well, this is my first interview experience, and so far for this post, coming up post will continue on my other interview experience.

My Lecturer's Words

After replying lots of request from student on changing of mid term test date, finally my lecturer come out below words via email to all of us~(interesting~haha~)

Tittle: becoming an adult - sincere expression

invalid reasons: to entertain or to not entertain?
that is the question.

i normally don't. but when i decide to, all hell breaks loose.
who am i helping? am i really helping? or just "helping."

one says, "i'm just going for my break now."
another, "i'm helping out with my sister's wedding."
yet another, "i'm going back to my hometown."
and the list goes on..and on..

why should i care? should i care??
it being a study week..them being invalid reasons..
and you and i both know our duties, roles, and responsibilities..

what if i were to say, "i don't feel like conducting the midterm this semester.
i'd rather spend my nights at home with my family."
what would you do? would you entertain my decision? hell NO!! (coz if you did
you'd all get zeros).

think about it.

think about others having to change our live plans to fit YOUR schedule. who are
you? or perhaps i should say, who do you think you are??

each and everyone of us are important.
each and everyone of us have a life, family, other roles and responsibilities to
play.
not one is more important than the other.

ultimately, remember our culture.
respect the elder. respect the wiser.

and yes, growing up isn't easy. but it is time.

xxooxx

My Yearning Childhood Comics

Dr. Slump

Crayon Sin Chan

Doraemon

China Hero

Storm Warriors

Today accidentally saw Dr. Slump pic which emailed to me by my friend, which make me suddenly miss those childhood comics and life a lots~^^. Its been more than a decade I did not touch the above comics, which I am so addicted to them before I enter and till the end of primary school life.

I recall that I always get punished and reprimanded by both my parents and school teachers, just because I consumed most of my time keep reading those stuff and learned to draw them, and thus ignore all my study and homework.

But, in fact, I am quite well known in my friends group, which I am good in drawing comic, especially Hong Kong style comic, and the second reason is, I always being called by my teachers to face headmaster individually (of course not for good things)~XP~what a shame~lol~

Sincerely, if not the pressure from my family and relatives, and also the rare development opportunities of the comic field in local. Today I shall be in this field, but not business field, for this is my natural born talent and interest...sigh...

Haiz...time just past that fast, no longer a stupid child anymore, really hope that there is a chance for me to fly back to my childhood life again, even me always dream to be an adult soon at that time... :) ...

Well, after attend the seminar, the conclusion is, I am just like a primary student which listening to a degree level lecture...>.<, what a shame...after about 1 and a half hour presentation with lots of chart ,figures, and facts, the only key point I get in Mr Lim's sharing is global and local economy is in a recovery trend, despite it is still remain volatile and growth slowly, other than this point, I really absorb nothing else.

As for Mr Khoo's sharing, even I can understand it more compared to Mr Lim's, but it is not far better~:P, with numerous charts and figures too, the key point is FBM KLCI will possibly stable and upward bias in the coming next 3 months, but depend on the market psychology sentiment, which the market will boost if support line is fixed at 1300 points.

One more finding in this seminar, throughout the seminar, I saw many uncles and aunts (me more likely the youngest one in that occasion) hold a pen and paper which seems to take notes throughout the seminar, but in fact, they only copy something when the both the above analysts recommend what share to pay attention at (which implied which one to buy)~:D, I wonder they pay attention on other contents or not?

Even though didn't get much from this seminar, but at least I learned that I am still much far to achieve for certain level in this field, and besides, the free breakfast and tea break there is delicious, that is enough to cover back my transportation cost~:P~

Hmm...tomorrow still have one more seminar at Gurney Hotel there, hopefully it will be more easily to be digested...haha~

Travel KL for Term Paper

This is not the first time, my badge have used to experienced this in our first year degree study. Know why? Because our lecturer want to do their thesis, and we, of course, the best free resources to help them finish their survey and save lots of their works~Thats why I always assume that if they are more suitable in taking economic subject, as they are damn good in economic basic phrase: getting the most from limited resources with unlimited wants and needs.

This time our far distance survey is under the financial derivatives subject, we need to do survey on fund management company registered under securities commission. The survey is based on the using of hedging strategy of those companies, whether they use it or not, why and why not, the impact and else.

As those company mostly based in KL, therefore we have to spend on transportation cost by our own~>.<~Big sacrifice huh? My group had chosen a company based in KL, located at Jalan Ismail, luckily there is a good friend living near there (Titiwangsa) can provide me accommodation.

Anyway, for me it is interesting, at least it is better than my last time  far distance survey, which me and my group mates have to travel far inside the rural areas in Pahang, which is a terrible experience by almost consuming our whole day time on riding bus to reach the destination~

This survey will be taken during the last week in this month, hopefully everything will be go smoothly, cheero~!

1st Day of the Last Semester

28th Dec 2009: Today is the first day of my last semester for my degree. This semester I have strategic management as my core course, financial derivatives as my major, and macroeconomic as my minor. It should be a bit relax when there are only 3 subjects to study for one semester, but actually it is not.

Today when heard about the course synopsis on strategic management in the 1st lecture, I am a bit dizzy. First, the course mark will be evaluate through mid term, case study, tutorial questions, term paper, class participation, presentation in both tutorial questions and term paper, and also have to participate in an online business simulation game...this is not the end yet, the most headache thing of this course is the cost~guess how much we gonna spend on this course...? RM98...for the book only, not included all the tutorial and term paper printing cost~OMG~

Next, about the financial derivatives subject, it is also a killing-me subject, besides lots of assignments for sure, we are also required to do survey on fund management company, means we gonna visit those company, if not wrong, these company mostly based in KL only, so~we gonna spend a sum on transportation...set aside on that, the main reference text book, sorry, I mean book's', because it consist of three books, one is text book, and others two are module from SIDC, ...be left speechless with wonder or fear...besides, to ensure to get a good result in this subject, we are recommended to sit for an online 200 mcq test before the final, this is not the problem, the problem is...this test cost RM200...again, speechless...

My minor macroeconomic still not get the information yet, so I pray to God, please stop playing with me again...I really surrender beneath your mighty hand~T.T~
